Franklin the Fairy Penguin
Meet Franklin the Fairy Penguin
Franklin the Fairy Penguin is so named because of his very small size. Fairy Penguins are the smallest penguins in the world. They have slate-blue or indigo-blue feathers on the top of their body. Their scientific name, Eudyptula, means good little diver.
Fairy Penguins don’t migrate, they live all year at many Southern Hemisphere locations. At dawn, a flock of Fairy Penguins leave their Rookery (a Penguin’s home) to hunt for fish. They spend the whole day at sea, returning at dusk to rest. This clever dawn to dusk behaviour provides Franklin and other Fairy Penguins with protection from predators.
Pair Franklin the Fairy Penguin with our Fairy Penguin Beanie for the perfect match.
