Meet Stanley the Seal

Stanley is an Australian Fur Seal. He was born on Wright Rock, a small, granite island in northern Bass Strait near Flinders Island. His home has been a nature reserve since 1978. There are ten established Fur Seal colonies, on islands in the Bass Strait; six off the coast of Victoria and four around Tasmania. Pups (baby Fur Seals) are occasionally born on Montague Island, off the NSW coast.

When Stanley is not playing with his Envirowoolly friends, he swims over a 19,000 km² area with his Fur Seal buddies. They visit South Australia, Jervis Bay (NSW), and southern Tasmania.
